What exactly is The Native Way?
A book of the heart, not a book of ceremony. Twenty plain teachings for the later years — about silence, worry, regret, forgiveness, the pull of the land, and the long walk toward the passage — spoken the way an elder would speak to you by the fire. Tonight it comes with two companion books: Elder Remedies, the old ways of keeping the body well, and The Elder's Morning Way, sixteen short readings to greet the dawn.
Who is Joseph Standing Elk?
An old man, grandchild, one of the last who sat as a boy at the fires of the old people. He carried what they gave him for most of a lifetime, watched the world grow loud and quick around it, and began setting it down so it would not be lost with him. He does not speak for any tribe or nation; he shares universal elder wisdom the way it was handed to him.
Do the old ways actually work?
The honest word is this: they have helped a great many people sit easier with the later years, and no more than that can be promised. The teachings are for reflection. The old ways in Elder Remedies are long‑practised comforts, not treatments or cures; nothing in these books is medical, mental‑health or financial advice. Read them plainly, keep the one you need close, and if a burden feels heavier than the pages can reach, speak with your doctor.
How do I receive the books after I order?
Instant email delivery. A few minutes after you pay, the three books arrive at the email address you give us, with a link to open each one. Nothing ships and there is nothing to wait for by the mailbox. If the email does not arrive, look in your spam folder, then write to us and we will send it again.
Are the old remedies expensive or hard to find?
No, grandchild. The old ones kept the body well with what was already in the house — rest, breath, a warm kettle, honey, salt, plain water, plain food, and a garden or a market shelf. Every chapter says plainly what it is, how it was done, and what it will not do, and the last chapter is about when to go to the healer beyond the home. Always check with your doctor or pharmacist before trying anything new, especially if you take prescription medicine.
Can I read them on my phone?
Yes. Read on any device — phone, tablet or computer — and make the words as large as your eyes like. You can also print any of the pages and keep them by your chair. No app, no account, no subscription.
Why is it only $37?
Because the teachings were given to me for nothing by the fire, and I would rather they reach a great many people than sit on a shelf at a price that keeps folks out. Thirty‑seven dollars for all three books is the launch price for this page; when the timer hits zero the companion books go back to being sold separately.
Why was the original price $101?
The Native Way on its own has been $37 since the day it was set down. The two companion books have never been offered on their own; if they were, they would be $37 for Elder Remedies and $27 for The Elder's Morning Way — $101 for the three. Tonight all three come together for $37.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. You pay on Stripe's own secure checkout page, the same company that handles payments for millions of businesses. We never see or store your card number. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link are all accepted.
Is this a subscription? Will I be charged again?
No. One payment, once. No renewal, no hidden charge, no membership. The books are yours for good.
